Wake up! Now live on the internet!
In a major development for viewers outside the Access 31 broadcast, including ex-pat interstate and overseas Western Australians, or those who simply aren't in front of a telly at 7 or 10.30am, Wake Up! WA is now broadcasting live everyday via the iinet website.
Thanks to the vision and hard work of iinet, plus the cooperation of Access 31, Wake Up! WA is now available to watch live each day on the internet. The show is then available to view on demand for the rest of the day.
This is a major achievement for the Western Australian community television program. It is believed that no other Australian program currently streams live on the internet, making Wake Up! a pioneer on broadcasting technology.
"This is really exciting for us," said co-Executive Producer Scott Hunt. "We are committed to letting as many Western Australian watch a local program about local people and events as possible. Too many people are missing out on this because most television is being produced over East."
"We are lucky that iinet have the vision to help us achieve this goal," adds Scott.
Now anyone with a broadband connection can watch local news and find out what is happening in their local community in a fun and informative breakfast TV format, at their leisure, any time of the day.
