Live & local breakfast TV is back

Wake Up WA logoFor those searching for quality, local and live breakfast TV, Wake Up! WA is back on air for 2007, beginning Monday June 11. Airing on Access 31 between 7 and 8am every weekday and repeated from 10.30 am, Wake Up! WA  is the only breakfast TV show that provides Western Australians with content targeted exclusively for them.

Formerly know as Wake Up Perth, Wake Up! WA is considered a flagship program on Access 31, and last year gained a large and loyal audience, even though competing in a busy timeslot.  The show reached a major milestone last year with its 300th episode and continues to build a loyal band of viewers.

Executive Producer Carol Wallbank, and also Director of Ego Creative Media, is very excited about the 2007 season of Wake Up! WA.

“We provide a training and development ground for talented media people in Perth. We have some fantastically talented people involved in the show and, with the limited opportunities available in the local media industry, this gives them a great platform from which to launch their careers,” says Carol.

“We have some great new faces on the show this year, as well as many of the regulars from last year that viewers will recognise.”

Each day, Wake Up! WA  will give exposure to many local and W.A. businesses, cover WA news stories in depth, promote current events, and provide a great vehicle for charity organisations to reach out to the community.

“We are passionate about showcasing projects, events and organisations that make our state great,” says Carol.

Some of the not-for-profit organisations that were showcased on Wake Up! WA  during 2006 included Red Cross, Walk Against Want, Juvenile Diabetes, Save the Children Fund, Para Olympic Committee, Asthma Foundation, Heart Foundation, MS Society, Breast Cancer Foundation, Starlight Foundation, World's Greatest Shave, Motor Neurone Disease, and Make A Wish Foundation.

With four live interviews per day, the show covers issues and events that are important to Western Australians.
